Armenian president receives EU special representative

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on Thursday received EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort.

According to the presidential press service, the parties conversed about the dynamically progressing Armenia-EU relations, regional developments as well as about the EU assistance for the reforms in Armenia which are being implemented in a number of areas.

Lefort reportedly reiterated the EU support for the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. The parties also spoke about the importance of the confidence building measures in the process of the conflict resolution.
