France is home to world leading companies in many innovative industries and is the third largest recipient of foreign direct investment, offering new opportunities for Scottish companies in procurement and sub-supply. France?s strategic location at the heart of Western Europe is well served by a highly developed transport and communication network. This means you can easily visit your customers and organise meetings in a single day trip. The market is open and similar to that of the UK in terms of legislation, technology, demand, size. The level of technology and innovation is comparable to the UK offering the possibility of many types of partnership. There are also niche markets in all other sectors. Almost anything that sells well in the UK has the potential to be sold in France, provided that the quality and price are right, making it an attractive export market.

Highland & Islands Enterprise (HIE) and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) are running one to one clinics on doing business in France for Highland & Islands companies on the 20th February at Cowan House. If you are thinking of taking your business into France for the first time, or you are looking at further developing your business there, these FREE clinics will provide you with the opportunity to discuss your objectives on a one-to-one basis with Christine Taylor-Colas of UKTI.

Each clinic session will last for 60 minutes. Bookings will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. To book a session, request a registration form from Stepanka Jurenova at Highlands and Islands Enterprise stepanka.jurenova@hient.co.uk by no later than 15th February 2013.
