China has flown a successful test mission of its next-generation stealth fighter, its second working prototype of the radar?invisible planes that could eventually fly from a Chinese-built aircraft carrier.
The 11-minute test flight of the plane, which state media hailed as a milestone for fifth-generation fighter aircraft, is the second such trial. Its true performance remains a mystery, but having two such prototypes would put China behind only the US in that field of stealth-fighter technology.
